LARCS is a nonprofit organization comprised of volunteer women who are committed to improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.
LARCS was formed in 1957 by a group of eight Valley women who felt the growing need to assist those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Over the years, LARCS’ membership has grown to include over 140 active and sustaining members.
LARCS financially supports several local non-profit entities including: Best Buddies, Special Olympics, Break the Barriers, Addicott Elementary Sports Day, RATA High School, and The Lori Ann Infant Program.
In order to provide financial support , LARCS hosts an annual Spring Fling fundraiser and sells delicious specialty food items through our Country Store to Go. Spring Fling features a silent auction, dessert dash, country store, and fashion show. All proceeds are dedicated to provide support to non-profit organizations such as those above and fund 4 $2,500 scholarships per year to graduate students.
